"I enjoyed your work: ....excellent, sensate and intelligent work...."
                                                                                             Dick Evans-Artist

Originally from New Jersey, Tony Guzzo spent most of his life in the American West... New Mexico and Wyoming. He began studying with sculptors Robert Russin and then later with David Klahn of Ohio and Tom Hardy of Portland, Oregon.
A summer in Italy at the marble yards in Pietra Santa and Forti dei Marmi taught him the old techniques of Marble carving.
He has shown throughout Wyoming  and in California and at the Ledoux Gallery in New Mexico(unfortunately now closed).

"I have tried to combine in my sculpture the opposing tendencies in art: the figurative and the Abstract. Each is an essential part of the expression of form, and each piece then attempts the expression of an emotional idea."
